Mountain Biking the Bobsled

Continuing in a series of short mountain biking videos over the course of this summer, I'm pleased to present the latest release, Bobsled.  This is my first time back on this trail in five years, as is the case for most bike trails due to my bike accident five years ago.  And how epic it was!  Actually it's changed quite a bit, lots more wall rides, extra features and bigger jumps.  We started riding about 7am and got back to the cars at 8:30ish.

Directions:  Start at or near the JCC or University Hospital.  Ride up Drycreek Canyon just above the Electrical Station.  Traverse North along the shoreline trail above the Avenues, climb the annoying and seemingly endless hill in the middle of the ride, then look for the City Creek sign on your right.  In that area there is an opening with several spurring trails.  One on the right into City Creek (fun, but not the Bobsled), a gnarly climb straight ahead, a continuation of the trail you were on and the Bobsled to your left.  It's directly across from that white City Creek sign.  The drop in is gnarly and loose, then smooths out and rolls into the most epic downhill barrel canyon in Salt Lake.  Tear it up!

To view in HD, click the fullscreen button at the lower right corner or click anywhere on the player and you will be re-routed to YouTube.com where you can select 360p, 540p, or 720p HD.
